The Katana was originally developed for Egon Rauscher by Soultool Guitars at his explicit request. Egon wanted a pickup with very powerful and clear sound, which can also be achieved in the highest high gain sound with clear attack.

Thanks to a special wire, it has a penetrating power and the specific frequency response which sounds very close to an EMG 81, only the Katana does not need a battery and is much more differentiated and generally more direct and lively in the basses, which makes it easy to overturn the overtones.

Not without reason is it gaining more and more popularity not only in the Extreme Metal scene!

We supply all Good Tone Humbucker with a 4-conductor cable, which allows all possible circuits (serial, parallel, coil split etc.).
